Having previously deployed Adaptivemall and Keekaroo on Magento Commerce, Bergeron Co. once again tapped the powerful open-source eCommerce platform and EYStudios for their latest launches of Special Tomato and Adaptivemall Canada.
Inspired by their daughter, the Bergeron family created Special Tomato, a site which features products using innovative Soft-Touch® material designed to provide comfort to the “special tomato” in your life. Recommended by therapists, these products cater to the physical needs of your child and promotes their mobility through all their activities.
Adaptivemall Canada, like its counterpart Adaptivemall, is a store designed to bolster support to special needs children through adaptive equipment and therapist resources. Keeping families in mind, the site offers a truly positive shopping experience for all their seating, physical therapy, and living needs.

These sites really made sense for Magento because they are able to use a single backend instance to manage all four stores, including the ability to make the changes necessary for the Canadian offering. Additional project highlights for the two stores include a custom quick order form for customers to order replacement parts and the use of GeoIP to present the Canadian version of Adaptivemall to Canadian customers.
Up next for the family of Bergeron sites is focusing on upgrading to the latest release of Magento, which features a number of security patches and infrastructure enhancements.
