With Magento 1 end-of-life quickly approaching, Salt Life took the opportunity to not just upgrade the platform to Magento2, but also the sites aesthetic and performance!
Salt Life is a men’s and women’s apparel brand focusing on the culture of coastal living. Salt Life, while a national brand, maintains a strong regional presence in the southeast with its roots on the Atlantic coast in north Florida.
Salt Life looked to rapidly migrate from the aging Magento 1 platform that they were on to the newest version of Magento 2. They were looking for the updated security, rich features, improved site speed, and a higher level of integration performance that the Magento 2 platform offered them. There were several features from their Magento 1 site that were considered to be mission-critical to how they did business. So, with this in mind, these features had to be rebuilt with the Magento 2 architecture and Salt Life’s business needs in mind.
Our Creative Solution
EYStudios worked with Salt Life team on a few key integrations while our designers improved their site's user experience and conversion paths. We offered a streamlined, intuitive solution for their "Shop the Look" feature on product pages and a new and improved Store Finder to find local merchants that sold Salt Life products. During checkout, a last-step inventory update checks with Salt Life's ERP to ensure all product configurations are still available for purchase, even during the holidays, when the goods are flying off the virtual shelves.
